Vladimíra Zacharidesová has been working in the field of auditing for more than 20 years. After graduating from the Faculty of National Economy at the University of Economics in Bratislava, she has worked since 2003 as an internal auditor of EU pre-accession funds in the SAPARD agency and later, after the accession of Slovak Republic to the EU, as an internal auditor within the Agricultural Payment Agency. In 2007, she joined the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic as Director of the Planning and Methodology Department, and since January 1 2021 she has been the General Director of the Audit and Control Section of the Ministry of Finance. She is responsible for ensuring the tasks of the central harmonization unit, overseeing the development and methodological guidance of the Financial Control and Audit Act, and managing government audits of the Slovak state budget, EU funds, the Recovery and Resilience Plan of Slovakia, the EEA Financial Mechanism, and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. She has been appointed as the Government Auditor at the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic and is a member of the Ministry's teaching staff. She serves as the Vice-Chair of the Committee for Internal and Government Audit and is also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Audit Oversight Office.
